Jointly organised by Alpha Innovation Project, the ii inishowen InnovationDonegal County Council and Donegal Digital, the 'Grow Via Digital' online event today navigated attendees through the funding supports available to succeed online and outlined some successful digital stories.

The session was part of the 'Digital First Day' national campaign organised by the Digital Ireland Network and ConnectedHubs, to create a national conversation about the benefits of digital growth for organisations and communities in towns and villages across Ireland.

Over 30 participants learned more about free Connected Hubs vouchers to work from the various Donegal Digital Innovation Hubs, the plans for the ii inishowen innovation hub, that will bring opportunities for digital entrepreneurs to collaborate together and the impact of the successful #BuyDonegal campaign, which last year reached 13.9 million people and facilitated 46% of consumers surveyed purchasing at least one local product. Attendees also heard further details about Trading Online Vouchers helping businesses gear up for online success; and some benefits and challenges explained by the local designer Edel MacBride, including setting up a business online and using local initiatives such as the Buy Donegal campaign and Donegal Local Enterprise Office's supports to her advantage.

Participants were asked for their current online status and the challenges to getting or growing online, so that future workshops can address their real needs. Save the dates -19th January and 16th February!
